Bridal Veil Falls Flow Restoration Project

0

Central Utah Water Conservancy District (CUWCD) collects fresh water at Bridal Veil Falls that comes from the mountains above. The water from this area contributes to the safe, clean, and reliable water supply for the people along the Wasatch Front. To improve the flow to the Bridal Veil Falls pond, next to the Provo River Trail, CUWCD is removing an old pipe and structure at the lower plunge pool. This will allow water to flow all the way down to the pond. From there, the water will be piped under the Provo River and pumped into CUWCD's water system.

This is why water found in lakes and rivers is not suitable for drinking without first being treated.
